June 2004, 30th The presentation of the state of art, needs and foreseeable benefits coming from establishing the European Institute of Diffraction has been posted to the attention of the UNI (the Italian Standardisation Body) and in particular to the Commission of Non Destructive Testing (UNI/PND)
July-September 2004 identification of a specific targeted topic for a project in the frame of a new emerging science and technology.
September 1,2 2004 (EPDIC IX- Prague) interviews, informal get together and discussions with several members of the partnership from different countries.
September 13th Submission of proposal in the NEST programme.
September 29 2004 Seminar on opportunity of project in NEST programme.
October 23, 24, 25, 26 meeting with some components of the new coming countries of Europe and West Balkan. (Partners are coming even from Ukraine, Russia and Switzerland).
